Hello people,
We have been writing a lot of javascript and its tools including open-source in our newsletter and our blogs.
Rising Start released a new blog conceptually defining the best of javascript tools or products in 2024 including all kinds of tools frontend, backend, AI automation, machine learning and databases.
To recall which all products are trending in 2024 to filter the hottest tools based on javascript the rising stars reference the tools from bestofjs.org.
Rising Star
It's a report generated by the founder or creator of bestofjs org, Michael Rambeau, bestofjs is simply a platform like product hunt but for javascript niche products or tools.

What is this rising star, Every year based on a report from the website bestofjs Michael brings the best products rising in 2024 based on tools and his research of the so-called collection.
Michael proposed the detailed report under the name Rising Star every year and he has been doing it for the past 9 years which is motivating and amazing.
Now according to the rising star 2024 report, we have a bird-eye view of the javascript tools ecosystem that helps us to understand which all tools to prefer in future as well which all can be discarded from the to-do list of learnings.
As a software developer, our time is also limited and we need to use it wisely day-by-day and hence this report becomes important to create our future learning roadmap.
Trending Tools
HTMX which we have recently covered in our newsletter is gaining popularity very fast with 16k github starting in 2024 more than next.js a straight competitor. In the same list, it's interesting to see that Svelte is before Vue.js and about to cross React.js.
Another interesting thing to note here is that Angular is number 5 which is quite surprising because a few years ago angular was about to be discarded and I think the credit goes to a new convention followed by the Angular team under the hood.
This lists down the React ecosystem products and the first one goes to shadcn/ui and Excaldraw and both the news is not surprising it was expected. We have already covered a lot about both in our newsletter and blogs, more importantly in our newsletter section.
In the backend, quite amusingly Payload CMS is on the top along with Next.js, Hono, Astro and Nest in the queue.
Astro, Next and Hono all fall in the same category of full-stack ecosystem whereas Nest is quite a competitor to Express.js, used in writing backend servers in node.
Bun, Biome, and Vite are the top tools for JavaScript tooling.
This is our favourite section, we have converted multiple posts and content about the react-native ecosystem as well Expo and very well expected they both are the most trending mobile ecosystems in the javascript domain.
Surprisingly, TamagUI is gaining popularity in providing a UI library in react-native. This is good news because the react-native domain has fewer options for styling and UI components. Only a couple of choices for a developer exist hence ruling the particular market section.
Zustand is the top in gaining popularity for handling states in the react apps followed by Jotai, XState, and Pinia.
Xstate is the most interesting and unique way of managing states analogies to how machines manage their states and never go out of state anytime anywhere making xstate a robust state management library.
We will cover more articles about xstate till the time you can hear our xstate in our newsletter a lot.
Other few top rising tools categories are as follows
Moving ahead, why this list is important for you?
Well, it's quite simple, check the most trending tools in your domain or expertise, use them learn from them and even clone it and try to make something on your own to enhance your skill as well as understand why these are trending in the market by acting not just a vitamin but a pain killer solving real-world people's problems.
That's it for today
See you in the next one
