Hello, welcome to today's blog,
We will be discussing a new aggregator platform, I've launched on iHateReading, Universo.
Univeso
A collection of unique and important domains in the world
I've found that Product Hunt is quite good for watching tools, other SAAS aggregators are good to get the SAAS product ideas, app.daily.dev is a good aggregator for learning about programming.
But one thing was missing is the aggregator for devs to know which important websites/packages/links/resources/domains to follow to remain updated on software development.
And that is why we have launched this new product named Universo. It's not a random platform or aggregator; all the domains are unique, important ones and no ads, no sponsors for the first position to grab.
I've been reading a lot online for the past few years, and I think we need one platform to view all the websites a developer can follow or refer to improve their skills. I've added portfolio websites along with personal blog websites as well in the Universo collection.
Refresh to Play
One can find the entire collection on Universo
Since we have 300+ links so far and more to come in future, reading all of them is tough at once, and that is Refresh to Play button is introduced to keep refreshing the random list of links from the collection
Newsletter from Aggregtor
We are using the same aggregator database collection to scrape the respective websites and create our weekly newsletter, the iHateReading newsletter
This helps us to stay updated, learn quickly, build ASAP, and share stories with a 10k audience.

Future Updates
We are constantly thinking of ways to improve the Universo and provide more accurate results to the developers.
A few future changes we are researching are as follows
- Scrap websites to find the latest blogs/content/docs
- Save the favourite websites, scrap and track the content
- Rank the websites based on category, updates, content and more
- Do more 😁
That's it for today, see you in the next one

Summary
The iHateReading website has launched Universo, a new aggregator platform curating important websites, packages, and resources for software developers. Universo aims to be a unique, ad-free resource, unlike existing platforms that focus solely on tools or learning resources. It currently features over 300 links and offers a "Refresh to Play" function to randomly display links. The platform's data also powers iHateReading's weekly newsletter. Future updates include website scraping for fresh content, user favorites, and content ranking. The blog also promotes three software development roadmaps available on the iHateReading site.
